Night terrors
Typical of this routine,
The feeling of having nothing
To offer
Strikes the nerve
Like dentist's exploration
Of clearly defined cavity
"Just to confirm",
Inflicting a bleeding reminder
A receiving of your own sad calling card,
One you hadn't realized
Went to print.
